The Cree Nation Youth Council had a vision. They wanted to encourage
awareness and discussion of parenting and youth issues within their
community, and by extension, all of Eeyou Istchee. They invited Milton
Creagh, Jr., a world-renowned motivational speaker to come to Wemindji and
talk about the roles parents play in the lives of their kids and the problems
and issues that face today’s youth. This DVD set was made possible so that
all the Cree Nations could benefit from the wisdom shared during that
extraordinary experience.

A powerful man, a powerful speaker and truly powerful message, Milton
Creagh, Jr., weighing in at 6'7 and 300 pounds, has to be big to contain
all that power. Often referred to as “Bigg Milt”, he has made a “Bigg”
impression on questioning youth, concerned adults and support-seeking
organizations from local band councils and schools to government
legislatures and institutions. He finds a place among popular entertainers,
politicians and celebrities as easily as he can relate to teenagers from
inner city neighbourhoods to remote Northern First Nations reserves.
Audiences across the board are eager to hear what Bigg Milt has to say
about drugs and alcohol, youth culture, and community involvement,
and the key role parents play in raising their children to be healthy
individuals with strong decision making skills and self-esteem.
